Gin is a remarkable and famous liquor to experiment with. It's ingredients give it a unique individuality. It is a super versatile drink and different brands have their own character. Gin is also essential for some of the most notorious drinks, like the Martini.​ There is a huge amount of gin cocktails to explore and the list can be a little too much. If you are a newbie in the gin universe - do not worry,​ we have curated some of our favorite gin cocktails together with their recipes. Hope you enjoy! 

Best Gin Cocktails Recipes

1) Pre-bottled dirty martini

This classic Christmas cocktail is the perfect gift to any occasion – keep in the fridge! 

Ingredients:

  • 300ml Gin ( we recommend Hendrick's Gin)
  • 60ml Dry Vermouth
  • 25ml olive brine (if you want you can add more for a saltier taste)
  • green olives to garnish

Instructions:

Pour the gin, vermouth and brine into a jug and stir accordingly. Pour into a flip top bottle and keep cold in the fridge. Feel free to garnish with green olives before serving.

 

2) British Garden Cocktail

This cocktail contains classic British ingredients that are a perfect match for making a refreshing drink for any season. British garden is quite easy to make and we can't wait for you to try it.

Ingredients:

  • 50ml - Gin
  • 25ml - St Germain elderflower liqueur 
  • 75ml - apple juice
  • 10ml - lime juice
  • cucumber ribbons to serve

Instructions:

Shake all the ingredients and strain into a tall glass filled with ice. Decorate with cucumber ribbons to serve.

 

3) Gin Martini and Sake

Replace the vermouth  with sake in this Japanese interpretation of the classic Martini cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 50ml - Gin
  • 50ml - Sake 
  • lemon peel 

Instructions:

Add plenty of ice to a cocktail shaker, then add sake and gin. Shake well, pour into a martini glass and garnish with the freshly cut lemon peel. Perfect to enjoy in good company and during romantic dates.

 

4) Gin and Jam Cocktail

This one might surprise you Jam + Gin in a Cocktail? We agree that it is an unusual combination but honestly it works lovely. Especially in combination with citrus juice. 

Ingredients:

  • 50ml - Warner Edwards Rhubarb Gin
  • 20ml - lemon juice
  • one jam heaped teaspoon of your favourite
  • 20ml - egg white
  • lemon or orange to garnish

Instructions:

Mix the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and aim to create a silky, fluffy texture. Pour into a rocks glass with cubed ice and garnish with either orange or lemon.

5) The Gin Cocktail

Classic Gin cocktail recipe without too many ingredients but enough to be one of our favorites.

Ingredients:

  • 50ml -  Gin
  • 50ml - cucumber juice
  • 20ml - yuzu juice
  • 10ml - ginger syrup

Instructions:

Shake and pour into snifter glass. Fill the glass with ice. Garnish with a cucumber.

6) Classic Gin Martini

The most obvious but also one of the all time classics. Let's not joke ourselves, the Real martini requires Gin. This is the base cocktail for numerous other drinks, it can be made to your exact liking and is the best experience when it comes to fine drinking. 

Ingredients:

  • 50ml -  Gin
  • 40ml - Dry Vermouth
  • 1 or 3 olives or a lemon peel

Instructions:

First gather all of the ingredients. Then combine the gin and vermouth in a mixing glass filled with ice cubes. Stir everything  for 30 seconds. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass and feel free to garnish with olives or a lemon peel.
