History:

Founded by the distinguished Walker family, Johnnie Walker became a beacon of Scotch whisky. In 1893 John Walker & Sons acquired the Cardhu distillery in Speyside. The brand then became part of the Distillers Company (DCL) in 1925. Later, DCL was acquired by Guinness in 1986, which then merged with Grand Metropolitan in 1997 to form Diageo. Today, Johnnie Walker's legacy continues under Diageo, with production taking place at their bottling facilities in Leven, Fife and Shieldhall, Glasgow.
